This is a review of Proxy Machine v1.3 I bought this bot about two weeks ago and so far I have found it a life saver. The ease of using it is very good. I give this bot two thumbs up. I keep it running in the background. The Proxy Machine has been running for 3 straight days, it is not hogging resources or anything just doing what it’s meant to do. I always have fresh proxies to use when I need them.
Now the only problem with this bot is at the moment one of its sources is down, but the bot creator is doing an update and it should be ready for download at anytime. Even with one of the sources down I’m still getting great proxies. I also like the fact that it can be all automated to update my proxies and download new ones!! With out me having to mess with it.
Guide:
Proxy Machine Guide v1.3 Walk-through usage of the program by Frequency and Bodeezy
First start off by opening your Proxy Machine app.
Select the source you want, source 1 or 2. These sources allow different filter types. Source 1 allows you to filter the Anonymity Level of the proxies and Source 2 allows you to filter the Country.
If you would like the program to wait a few seconds in between page harvests, use the slider to set the interval in seconds. Leave the mouse cursor over the slider and a ToolTip window will appear showing you the amount of seconds. The slider goes from 0 to 100 seconds.
Next choose the amount of pages you want to harvest from (if Source 1 is chosen). Each page contains approximately 35 proxies. Source 2 has no pages and has around 250 proxies updated hourly.
Once you have your source, filter settings, delay, and page number set, click Go. The text on the “Go” button will turn to “Stop” - You may stop the process at any time. You will see the application begin to collect proxies.
You can save the list of proxies on the left for your own personal use. Once its done collecting proxies you’ll see the “Stop” button change back to “Go” You can now set the checker settings and click check proxies. The Timeout is in Milliseconds. Popular settings are between 1000ms and 10000ms. This sets how long you’re willing to wait for a response from each proxy, effectively filtering the slow ones from the quick ones!
The IP/Port boxes are used by the program, you don’t need to set them. The next box is Sockets which controls how many connections you’re willing to test all at once. Popular settings for 3MB Cable/DSL are 50-75 sockets. Adjust the amount according to your connection speed, or if your system is having trouble with the quantity of sockets. You’ll want to manually test which is right for your connection/system. Adjust higher or lower until the best results are found.
Now click Check Proxies in the Checker column. The proxies that respond within the alloted Timout (ms) are added to the list. When the bot is finished you’ll see the total amount of Bad Proxies (slow proxies responding lower than your timout setting) will be visible.
You can enable a proxy as fast as you can double-click it! Just double-click any IP in the Rotater or single-click it and click Enable directly under the list. You can disable any proxy by clicking Disable under the Rotater list.
To enable Auto-Rotation just set the Rotater Settings to how soon you want the proxy to change. Once a day will change the proxy every time the date changes, every hour is every 60 minutes, or you may set a custom setting in Hours/Minutes. Just click Enable under the text Auto Rotater to start the process.
You may also have the Proxy Machine retrieve new proxies at a given interval (Hours). Normally the sources are updated every hour, however you may set a custom amount of hours for the program to wait. Simply click Enable under the Automatic Harvester Settings to enable this process.
The Proxy Machine removes all duplicate proxies it finds. Your proxies harvested are always unique to each other.
